According to the internet, AKA the thing you are currently staring at, AKA the single most prevalent bringer of truth, Agent Coulson survived his seemingly dismal fate in The Avengers.

   At a SXSW panel for Much Ado About Nothing, Joss Whedon  informed the crowd that Agent Phil Coulson survived and would be in the S.H.I.E.L.D. television series. News had always been that Coulson would be in the pilot but until now there was speculation that it would merely be a flashback but seemingly not. Coulson is back and alive! Celebrate!
